STOP MOTION PROJECT

Stop motion has always been used in animation with drawings, or for special effects in live action films.  Now it is being used for all sorts of video production.  'Cycles' (left) is a short demonstration using post-it-notes.  It took about an hour to produce.  The high quality professional productions on this page would have taken considerably longer.  
Very high quality stop motion videos can be made without expensive video cameras.  Simply take still photographs with a DLSR and assemble them using video editing software.   Here is a selection of high quality shorts, which use stop motion very creatively.  Try and work out how the shots were created.
